ASORN is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (COA).

ASORN is provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number 11901.

ASORN invites you to participate in the exciting online education resource for eye care professionals - ACTIONED®, (Assessment, Certification, Training, an Interactive Ophthalmology Network).  ASORN’s online educational activities have moved to the ACTIONED siteASORN members will receive member pricing on ALL educational activities available through ACTIONED

In a landmark alliance, ASORN has united with the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO), the Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology (ATPO), the Canadian Society of Ophthalmic Medical Personnel (CSOMP), the Ophthalmic Photographers' Society (OPS), and the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA) to establish this innovative resource for eye care professionals.  Funding and development for the site is provided by JCAHPO.

“One of ACTIONED’s greatest strengths is the scope of content,” notes ASORN President Annquinetta Dansby-Kelly, RN, CRNO. “Resources from all six partnering organizations are available. This enables eye care professionals to customize their educational and training curriculum based on their specialty as nurses, technicians, assistants, surgical assistants, images, or administrative/management in any of several eye care specialties.”

ACTIONED® provides online educational resources for the entire eye care team.

Information about types of credits available, learning objectives, course levels, activity fees, activity expiration dates, and conflict of interest disclosures are included in each activity’s description.

Continuing Education Credits

To receive designated continuing education credits, go to ACTIONed to successfully complete the activity including the post-test and evaluation by the expiration date noted on the web site. Payment is required; member/non-member pricing is in effect.

Successful completion is defined for each course within its description.

Contact hours for many of these activities may be used for CRNO recertification. Check the criteria for recertification to verify applicability.

Attendance Verification Certificates will be distributed automatically upon successful completion of each activity.
