Earthquake Relief EffortsOn January 12, 2010, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake devastated the island nation of Haiti. Partners in Health, an American non-profit organization, is sending medical staff and supplies to set up emergency triage centers. Working with local organization, Zanmi Lasante, PIH has a 25 year presence in Haiti, and is one of the largest non-governmental health providers in the country. To learn more about how you can support the efforts of doctors and nurses who are helping to alleviate some of the confusion and pain of this natural disaster, please visit the Partners in Health website.
